Koby IsraElite is an internationally acclaimed composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, widely regarded as one of the most influential Israeli creators to establish a sustained presence on the global music stage.
Following more than 36 years of professional activity in London and across international markets, he has returned to Israel and is now based in Tel Aviv, where he has founded an independent, fully-equipped professional recording studio.
Alongside his album career, IsraElite has composed and produced music for cinema, television, and theater. His credits include Madonna’s film Filth and Wisdom, the cult feature Borat, the television series The Kardashians, and international advertising campaigns such as Coca-Cola, in addition to documentary films and stage productions. His music has also been performed in orchestral contexts, including a full concert program dedicated to his works by the Jerusalem East–West Orchestra.
Koby has played a defining role in shaping the contemporary world-music landscape. He composed and arranged the final two albums of Fanfare Ciocărlia, one of the most influential Roma brass ensembles in the world—projects that received major international acclaim from the BBC and leading music publications.
A virtuoso multi-instrumentalist, Koby performs and records at a professional level on accordion, drums and percussion, guitars, piano, ROLI Seaboard, and wind instruments. His production practice is rooted in long-term operation of his own private studio, enabling full creative control across the entire process—from original composition and orchestration through recording, production, and mixing, to final master delivery at international technical standards.
IsraElite’s work is defined by a distinctive musical language that unites deep cultural identity with a contemporary, universal sensibility. Over the course of his career, he has released 11 solo albums on leading international labels, including Tzadik Records (New York) and Asphalt Tango Records (Berlin). His recordings have earned broad international recognition, including Album of the Year honours from Village Global magazine and two BBC World Music Album of the Year awards.
